This large resort is in a remote location on the Hurghada - Safaga road and is about 40 minutes drive south from Hurghada Town and Marina. This resort has a sports club and is great for watersports enthusiasts or those that want to try sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing or scuba diving. The InterContinental Abu Soma Resort has a large relaxing pool area and good size, rooms.

The large rooms are well furnished, some with views over the pool and some over the sea. Decoration is neutral and very tasteful. The marbled bathrooms are in excellent condition, as are the bedrooms.

The main restaurant is very large and well appointed in a classic style and serves an excellent selection of predominantly international cuisine, with some local specialities and arabic dishes.

The reception and lobby areas are very large, with wide columns and marbled floors. Furnishing is classic in style and very elegant.

The property is a medium-rise building, set back from the road and directly at the beach with a modern architecture and interesting features.
